Private golf cart experiences
for your guests.

A private tour you can recommend without checking anything first: same driver standard every time, pick-up at your entrance, and one number that answers.

Aura field note / 21Roma, Italia

We already work with luxury hotels in central Rome, and we keep the circle small on purpose. Availability is one WhatsApp message to +39 320 689 1014, normally answered within the hour. The cart collects your guests at your entrance.

What your guest gets

A private electric golf cart with its own driver for about two and a half hours in the historic centre. Nobody else joins. Six to nine real stops, an English-speaking driver who tells the story as they go, and a route that changes during the tour according to what the guest turns out to be interested in.

The structural reason it works: the cart is authorised inside the restricted traffic zone and small enough for streets a car or a van cannot use. It stops where a coach would be moved on within seconds, at the Theatre of Marcellus, on via Giulia, at the top of the Aventine. And it removes eight to fifteen kilometres of walking from a guest's day, which is the complaint your front desk hears every afternoon between May and September.

Partnership

We already work with luxury hotels in central Rome, and we keep the circle small on purpose: the same driver standard every time, one number that answers, and a guest who comes back to your desk happy.

If you would like your property to be part of it, write to partnership@aurarometours.it — we reply with terms, materials for your desk and availability for this week.

How a booking actually goes

  1. You send one message: date, time, number of guests, property name.
  2. We confirm availability, normally within the hour during working hours. Same-day requests are usually possible.
  3. The evening before, the driver's name and the exact meeting point go to you and, if you prefer, straight to the guest.
  4. The driver arrives early and meets the guest by name at the entrance, rather than messaging them to go and find a vehicle.
  5. The guest is returned to the same door.

No portal, no login, no minimum volume, no exclusivity, and no contract to sign before the first booking.

Pick-up at your address

Where the street allows a vehicle, the cart stops at your entrance. Where it does not, on a pedestrian lane, a restricted section or a square with bollards, the driver waits at an agreed corner and walks to the door.

For properties inside the pedestrian core we agree that corner once, with you, and then use the same one every time. Guests are never given a different meeting point on different days, and that detail causes most of the friction people have had with other suppliers.

The area pages set out the route and the pick-up logistics quarter by quarter: Via Veneto, Piazza di Spagna, the Pantheon, Prati and the Vatican, Trastevere, Termini, Piazza Navona, the Aventine and Testaccio, Parioli and Monti.

Which guests it suits

  • Guests over sixty-five, and any group where one person sets the pace. The largest single category, and the one that generates the warmest feedback.
  • Multigenerational families. A cart holds seven guests plus a free child seat, and the pace suits both a grandparent and a nine-year-old.
  • Second and third visits. Guests who have already done the Colosseum and the Vatican and now want the city rather than the monuments.
  • Short stays. One night, an afternoon before a dinner, a gap between meetings.
  • Guests arriving in July and August who have discovered what a Roman afternoon on foot is actually like.

Which guests it does not suit

We would rather you knew this than have a guest disappointed on your recommendation.

Guests who want to go inside things. We do not sell tickets, do not enter the Vatican Museums, St Peter's, the Colosseum or the Forum, and cannot get anyone past a queue. The tour is the outdoor city. A guest whose priority is the Sistine Chapel needs a licensed guide with timed entry, and we say so at the enquiry rather than after the booking.

Guests in a wheelchair full time. The cart is not wheelchair accessible: boarding is one step up, about the height of a car sill, with a grab handle and no ramp or lift. A guest who can transfer into a taxi can transfer into the cart, and a folded chair travels behind the rear seat. A guest who cannot transfer cannot board, and we will not take the booking.

Solo guests on a budget. Pricing is per cart, so a single guest pays €390. For one person we would point them to a walking tour, and we do not count that as a lost sale.

What is and is not included

Included: the private cart for about two and a half hours, the driver, hotel pick-up and return, photo stops, a flexible route, a free child seat, and an extra stop at €19.50 if the guest wants one.

Not included: any ticket or entry, licensed-guide commentary inside monuments, food and drink, and gratuity.

Payment by Visa, Mastercard or American Express, encrypted at checkout, or on account for regular partners.

What we ask of you

Almost nothing. Send the enquiry with the guest's name, the number of people and the time. Tell us if anyone has difficulty walking, or has a strong preference: a photographer, a first visit, a birthday. The driver builds the route around it.

And tell us when something goes wrong. We are one operator with a small number of carts rather than a call centre, so a problem reported the same evening is a problem fixed.

Send us a test enquiry

Any date, any group size. You will see exactly what your concierge desk would see: an answer within the hour, a named driver, and a meeting point agreed in advance. Terms and materials for your desk are sent by email, after a first message.

Common questions

How do we become a partner?

Write to partnership@aurarometours.it with the name of your property. We reply with the terms, the materials for your desk and current availability. No exclusivity, no minimum volume, no contract to sign before the first booking.

How do we check availability?

One WhatsApp message to +39 320 689 1014 with date, time and number of guests. Answers normally come back within the hour during working hours, and same-day requests are usually possible.

Where does the cart collect guests?

At your entrance wherever the street allows it. Where the address is pedestrian or restricted, the driver waits at an agreed corner and walks to the door to meet the guest by name — never a message telling the guest to find the vehicle.

What is not included?

Museum and monument entry, tickets of any kind, and guided commentary inside sites. The tour is the outdoor city: squares, terraces, viewpoints and the streets between them. Guests wanting the Vatican Museums or the Colosseum interior need a separate arrangement, and we say so before booking rather than after.

What if a guest has limited mobility?

The cart removes almost all the walking, which is why it is often the answer for older guests. It is not wheelchair accessible: boarding is one step up, roughly the height of a car sill. A guest who can get into a taxi can get into the cart; a guest who cannot transfer out of a wheelchair cannot.
